Biography

Lu Mujun: Practices at Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; Chief Physician; Postdoctoral Supervisor. He specializes in complex and intractable andrological disorders (ED and infertility) and repair and reconstruction surgery of the urethra and external genitalia. He also specializes in various minimally invasive prostate surgeries that preserve sexual function and minimally invasive surgery for male reproductive tumors. 

He serves as Executive Deputy Director (in charge of work) of the Shanghai Institute of Andrology, Deputy Director of the Department of Urology at Shanghai Renji Hospital, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Urology Department at the West Campus, Director of the Andrology Department, and Chief Expert of the National Key Research and Development Program. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Southern Denmark; Standing Director of the China Sexology Association; Vice Chairman of the Sexual Medicine Branch; Deputy Head of the Sexual Dysfunction Group of the Chinese Andrology Branch; Vice Chairman of the Energy Medicine and Equipment Branch of the China Sexology Association; Vice Chairman of the Male Reproductive and Sexual Medicine Branch of the Chinese Non-Governmental Medical Institutions Association; Vice Chairman of the Andrology Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association; Vice President of the Adolescent Health and Medicine Special Committee of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association; and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Andrology and Andrology (Chinese Edition).

He has led a key special project of the Ministry of Science and Technology entitled “Stem Cell Research and Organ Repair”, presided over 6 General Program projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published 40 SCI-indexed papers with a total impact factor exceeding 200. As the first contributor, he has received the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Second Prize for Science and Technology of Shanghai Rehabilitation Medicine, and has obtained 5 national invention and utility model patents.
